Kevin Clay for City Council

Hi! I'm Kevin. I am a lifelong Coloradan and a Montrose resident since 2019, but my roots in this region go back four generations through Montrose, Delta, and Hotchkiss. I believe people placed in positions of public trust must serve their constituents, their customers, honestly and openly.
I am running with a commitment to bringing civility, common sense, and a customer-service focus to our local government. I respect the seat. I know from earned experience that only honest communication and diligent participation in the process can help a team succeed.
My early professional life in the competitive car business provided me extensive experience in management, customer relations, and negotiation, culminating in my role as General Manager for Land Rover in Aurora, CO. When I finally arrived at a place in my life where I got to choose wherever I wanted to live, I chose Montrose.
Since I got here, I have been active. My wife, Gabrielle, and I own a building on Main Street which is home to our successful portrait photography studio. It also houses two other small businesses in Montrose. Our investment in this city cemented our dedication to the local economy and gives me firsthand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing Montrose's business community.
My belief is simple: City Council is fundamentally a customer service position, and the citizens of Montrose are the customers. My decades of experience in sales and management—roles that require listening, problem-solving, and pesonal accountability—make me perfectly suited to fulfill the mission of your city councilor.
